Florida State University Winter Youth Flag Football Leagues Coached by Seminoles Players
✨ Coach, Parents & Player Tips
Coach’s Clipboard: Teach your quarterback and your go-to receiver a two-tap-thigh-then-point code—one tap for a quick swing, two taps for a deep shot, then point left or right—so you can ditch the sideline megaphone and maybe even freak out the defense with your telepathic plays!
Postgame Parents: Before every snap, have your kiddo jiggle their flags twice and pop their hips forward like a little turtle shell—nailing that “belt check” keeps them low, ready, and yanking flags faster than you can say “touchdown!”
Players Snap: If you’re a coffee lover, stick to one small cup about an hour before kickoff—enough to sharpen your focus without sending you jittering like a Chihuahua on espresso.

🏅 Seminoles to host Next Level youth football leagues on FSU practice fields this winter
Florida State University is partnering with Next Level Sports to run flag football leagues for kindergarten through seventh grade on FSU’s practice fields this winter, with Seminoles players serving as coaches. This initiative expands grassroots development, boosts community engagement and leverages collegiate facilities to grow youth participation in the sport.
“It’s almost surreal to me that I’ll be there at Florida State on Jan. 16 (when the FSU league opens). But it will really be a fantastic thing for the community. The kids and their families will get to come out to Florida State’s brand-new facility, meet the coaches and the team and learn a lot about football.”
