Prince William County Girls Flag Football Secures Permanent Fall Sport with Commanders Partnership
✨ Coach, Parents & Player Tips
Coach’s Clipboard: Slip a thin rubber band on each athlete’s wrist and teach them that whenever self-doubt creeps in, a light snap with a whispered “reset” zaps the bad thoughts and flips their focus back on the next play. It’s a simple, almost sneaky little trick that turns mental resets into a team inside joke – and who doesn’t love a good reset button?
Postgame Parents: Teach your ball-carrier to use that free arm as a tiny screen—ask them to swing it in front of their beltline as they sprint so any defender’s hand hits arm instead of flags. It’s a cheeky, ninja move that boosts their runs and gives you both a good laugh watching would-be tacklers grab air.
Players Snap: When doubt tries to write your game story, grab the pen—picture yourself ripping flags and making clutch plays. Step up and star in your own highlight show!
