Minnesota Vikings Expand Girls High School Flag Football League to 104 Teams in 2026

✨ Coach, Parents & Player Tips

Coach’s Clipboard: Turn gear-packing into a two-minute relay at home: have players line up helmet, cleats, flags and water, then race in pairs to grab and load each item before the buzzer—this goofy drill cements the checklist, slashes morning chaos, and sends them to the field calm and ready.

Postgame Parents: Whenever they grab a snack, have them drop into a wall-sit and hold it until the first bite—those stealthy quad-torchers pack on leg power for every sport, and you’ll both crack up when their legs start wobbling.

Players Snap: Stick a “Wall of Wins” by the huddle—each big play earns a post-it shout-out, and when you hit 50 the squad cashes in on free pizza. Shared milestones build champions faster than solo grind.

“We have a four-week consecutive season starting on Sunday, April 26th. And the purpose of playing on Sundays is again, that accessibility. We want to make sure that girls who are playing other sports are also able to play girls’ flag,” Weinberg said.
