High School Flag Football Gains NJSIAA Sanction and NCAA Women’s Emerging Sport Status
✨ Coach, Parents & Player Tips
Coach’s Clipboard: Turn your pre-game gear check into a quick relay: split the kids into two lines and have each player sprint up to grab their helmet, mouthguard, and flags, then high-five you at the end—miss something and they owe you a goofy victory dance, but you’ll catch every forgotten item and kick off with pumped-up smiles instead of panicked searches.
Postgame Parents: While they brush their teeth, have them do an inchworm—walking hands out to a plank, pausing, then walking feet to hands—to sneak in core, arm strength, and hamstring mobility, and bond over who can fold themselves up like the funniest little accordion.
Players Snap: Stash a spare mouthguard and a roll of electrical tape in your bag—nothing kills momentum like hunting for busted gear when the whistle’s about to blow.
